Today is a relatively happy day. I went out to eat with our partners, and they accompanied me like friends for a while, or perhaps I accompanied them for a while.
Since taking over my current job, I usually take them out to relax after each major release, chat about life, and talk about things that have gone well or not so well. From their expressions or conversations, I can tell whether they are doing well or not. But everyone is trying their best to live better.
We had dinner first, although the taste wasn't good, everyone still ate enough. Then we walked along the street, visited small stalls, went to the supermarket, and went to a milk tea shop. Finally, each person ordered a cup of milk tea at the milk tea shop. Because the weather was too cold, I didn't drink it and brought it to my wife. She likes drinking milk tea.
Although this is our second-to-last gathering, we are still very happy. After all, these past two years have been spent with this group of partners. I am not a qualified manager. I prefer to handle everyone's relationships well, so that we feel more like a family rather than just colleagues in a company. In a family, if you have a problem, I can help you solve it, and in the end, we all improve together. In a company, if you don't know how to do something, I find someone who does, and under pressure, there will always be someone brave enough to step up. But currently, the team I am in operates more like a company, so it feels exhausting. I plan to leave after discussing the year-end bonus in May, go to a new place and see what it's like. I won't be here anymore. Actually, I still feel a little reluctant to leave this group of partners. After all, we have been together for three years and have developed some feelings.
All good things must come to an end, and everyone has their own path.
